today i saw for the first time in a very long time both of my parents talking to each other

sharing memories with each other

laughing together

it was only for a few seconds

but my god,

it was a beautiful few seconds.

until my heart caves in

until there are no words left to speak

until there is nothing left for me to do

until you call me back home.

there is a tree with just enough space for me to sit under away from the sun

it's not yet my time to sit down and watch the sun set.

but it's my tree, and I will sit there one day.
